Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: October 10, 2025

Our Commitment

Easygoing Counseling is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive for our digital presence to be usable, understandable, and navigable by all visitors, including those who use assistive technologies.

We believe that accessibility is fundamental to the services we provide. We are continuously working to improve the user experience for all, and we welcome feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Standards and Guidelines

We aim to conform to recognized accessibility standards, including:

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA

  • Best practices for keyboard navigation, meaningful alt text, color contrast, captions/transcripts for multimedia, and semantic HTML structure

  • Relevant federal and state laws and regulations, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Massachusetts accessibility obligations

Measures to Support Accessibility

To help make our site accessible, we have implemented (or will implement) the following:

  • Regular audits and testing using automated tools and human review

  • Ensuring pages are navigable via keyboard (tab order, focus states)

  • Providing alternative text (alt text) for images conveying meaning

  • Offering transcripts or captions for audio and video content

  • Using sufficient color contrast between foreground and background elements

  • Structuring content using headings, lists, and other semantic markup

  • Designing forms with accessible labels, error messages, and instructions

  • Ensuring responsive design for access via mobile and desktop

  • Maintaining an internal process for reviewing new content, documents (e.g. PDFs), and features for accessibility

Known Limitations & Exceptions

While we strive for full accessibility, there may be some content or features that are not yet fully accessible due to:

  • Legacy content (older documents, images, or pages) that predate our most recent accessibility updates

  • Third-party embedded content or plugins whose accessibility we do not fully control

  • Dynamic content or interactive elements that present challenges across all browsers or assistive technologies

When new issues are identified, we review them and work to remediate them based on priority and feasibility.

Feedback & Contact Information

Your feedback is important to us. If you encounter any accessibility barriers while using our site, please contact us:

Please provide:

  1. The web page or feature where you experienced the barrier

  2. A description of the accessibility issue

  3. The browser, operating system, or assistive technology you were using

We will respond to your request or suggestion within [e.g. 5 business days], and work to resolve the issue promptly.

Compliance & Legal Note

This accessibility statement is intended to communicate our ongoing commitment to accessibility and is not a guarantee of full compliance at all times. Where full compliance is not yet achieved, we will provide an alternative means of access upon request where feasible.

Federal and Massachusetts Legal Context

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), public-facing websites and services provided by “public accommodations” and government entities are required not to discriminate against individuals with disabilities, which courts and enforcement agencies have interpreted to include web and digital access. (See ADA guidance on web accessibility) ADA.gov+2GovBuilt+2

Massachusetts, through its state policies and the Commonwealth’s digital accessibility standards, requires web assets used by public offices and functions to meet WCAG 2.1 (Levels A/AA) and mandates ongoing monitoring and remediation. Massachusetts General Court+3Mass.gov+3Mass.gov+3

While Easygoing Counseling is a private entity, adopting these standards and practices helps ensure compliance with general anti-discrimination laws, reflects best practices, and supports equitable access.

Updates to This Statement

We review and may revise this accessibility statement from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will indicate when changes were made. If our website changes significantly (or our accessibility practices evolve), we will update this statement to reflect those changes.
